Dying Light is an open-world first-person action survival game set in a vast and dangerous post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. Developed by Techland, this game combines classic survival horror elements with fluid parkour-based movement and brutal melee combat. Set in the quarantined city of Harran, players assume the role of Kyle Crane, an undercover agent sent to infiltrate the infected zone. The game is known for its dynamic day-night cycle. During the day, players scavenge for supplies, craft weapons, and complete missions while fending off slow and predictable infected. However, at night, the world becomes extremely dangerous—aggressive and powerful creatures known as Volatiles emerge, transforming the city into a tense survival horror experience. Parkour mechanics are a core part of gameplay, allowing players to scale buildings, vault obstacles, and move fluidly through urban environments. Combat is mostly melee-based, offering a wide range of weapons that can be crafted and upgraded. Guns are also available, though ammo is scarce. In addition to the engaging single-player campaign, Dying Light features co-op multiplayer where up to four players can team up to explore, survive, and complete challenges together. The game also includes a PvP mode called "Be the Zombie," where players can invade others' games as a powerful infected. The Definitive Edition includes the base game and all previously released DLCs, including The Following, a major story expansion with vehicles and a new map.
